Welcome to Riley's Tools
I’m Tami Shue, the proud owner of Riley’s Tools, a name that has been a staple in St. Albans since 1977. The founder, Riley Gunnoe, was a man of vision who built this store from the ground up, specializing in tools and pocket knives. I joined the Riley’s Tools family in 1996 and quickly developed a deep affection for pocket knives and the wonderful customers who would often stop by for a chat as much as for a knife.
In 2021, I made the difficult decision to close our original location on MacCorkle Avenue. We liquidated everything except for the pocket knives, our true passion. But this was not the end but rather a new beginning.
On May 16th, 2022, we opened the doors to our new location at 204 Main Street in St. Albans. Now, we’re not just a knife store but a specialty knife and knife accessory store. We’ve also added a cozy coffee bar and plenty of seating, creating a welcoming atmosphere where our customers can sit down, relax, and stay a while.
Even though we no longer carry tools, I chose to keep the name Riley’s Tools. It’s a name that our customers know and trust, a name that has become synonymous with being one of the premier specialty knife dealers in West Virginia.
